I’m not seeing this, and I don’t think most people are, but it’s not good.
As follow-up to Gruber’s article earlier this week on Uber’s new request for Always On location tracking, he’s pulled together multiple tweets from users who are seeing Uber polling for their location data days or even weeks after last using the app.
…is it crazy to think that Uber has hard-coded in the “right behavior” (turning off Location Services 5 minutes after arrival at ones destination) for higher profile users like Gruber? They’ve done bizarre, Orwellian things like this before, including using their real-time data to track celebrities and ex-s.
Maybe I need a tinfoil hat.
